Lauren Rile Smith is a poet and performer, and the founder of Tangle Movement Arts. She graduated from Swarthmore College and works at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at the University of Pennsylvania and provides freelance services as a writer and editor. Lauren trains aerial and ground acrobatics at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and at LAVA in Brooklyn, NY. When not traveling the New Jersey Turnpike, she lives in West Philadelphia, where she is currently growing raspberries on her roof.
