Lauren Rile Smith is a poet and performer, and the founder of Tangle Movement Arts. Having graduated from Swarthmore College in 2008, she works at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at the University of Pennsylvania and provides freelance services as a writer and editor. Lauren trains aerial and ground acrobatics at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and at LAVA, in Brooklyn, NY. When not traveling the New Jersey Turnpike, she lives in West Philadelphia, where she is currently growing raspberries on her roof.
